Academics:
Phonics: We will going over contractions. For example: I+ will= I'll, we + have= we've.
Comprehension: We will work on retelling. Students should be able to retell in a sequence. First, this happened, then this. Students need to also include characters and setting if the text if fictional and the overall main idea and important details if it is non-fiction.
Writing: We are continuing our Opinion unit. Our class has written some great opinion papers but I want them to dig deeper into their supporting reasons.
Math: We are wrapping up our unit 6 this week and will work on starting up our next unit. Mostly it will be review before our end the year testing.
Social studies: With testing occurring next week I am using this time as flex time to get caught up. If we have time we will look into famous landmarks.
