Academics:

Moral Focus: We are exploring courage and what that looks like in school and home.

Phonics: We are going to explore words with the Vowel-Consonant-E syllable type. Most people know this are magic or silent e. Words with this syllable type have long vowel sound. Examples: bike, take, Pete, note, and cube.

Comprehension: In reading we will be looking at characters and how they change over the course of the story. Their attitude or mental state may change as they learned to solve their problem.

Writing: Students will explore verbs and nouns and how they often relate. We will also be starting narrative stories.

Math: Students will continue to use number lines in various ways. Students will also work on skip counting.

Science: We have started our space unit and will look at different phases of the moon.
