Hello families!
I see you made your way to my blog! I would suggest saving the blog or bookmarking this site since our class will use this regularly! I will also send emails anytime I update the blogs.
About me!
I'm originally from Texas... no, I am not obnoxious about itπ
I love sweet tea... really anything sweet. :)
I love baseball! I grew up watching it with my dad and my husband now coaches in his spare time. I am very sad that I have not been to a Rockies game this year!
I have a dog named Korra. She typically stars in my writing throughout the school year! She is a two year husky that loves to talk!
I love going to see movies! I like all types of movies but scary ones!
I developed my skill of sewing over quarantine and the pandemic.
Upcoming Year: As we all know there are still A LOT of unknowns. I do not know what next year looks like but I can tell you I am all about solid communication with families. So I commit to you and your family to be as direct and open about any information I know about the school year. As we partner together in this unprecedented time we must have understanding and flexibility with each other.
Going into next year I would suggest talking to your kids about what school may look like, so they can prepare and ask questions. You, as the parent, can set a positive tone going into the school year no matter what it looks like. This would hopefully set your student to easy a well.
Supply list: Below there is our 2020-2021 supply list.
DISCLAIMER: This list was designed for having class at the school building. If we have distance learning (school at home) you may not need to purchase all of these supplies. As we get more information I will send out another blog post with more specific info and instructions.
***** Plastic pencil boxes tend to last longer than metal or fabric boxes/bags.
Headphones need to be SMALL and fit in a SMALL container, be sure they fit in your student's ear well. Also, First Grade has put Clorox wipes and Hand Sanitizer on the list, we know now these are hard to come by so please supply these if possible.
I will send out another blog later this summer with more information about our daily routines and expectations. I am thrilled to have you in my class this year and look forward to meeting everyone either in person or via technology! Hope you have a wonderful day and rest of your summer! π
--Mrs. Crockett
P.S. to Students: Can't wait to get to meet you and see how smart you are. Your Kindergarten teachers have been bragging about you! I heard this is the best class ever! ππ
